Flower Arranging with Recyclables

Make an eye-catching flower arrangement with a leftover can, some paint and our flower printable.

Directions:

Materials:

- A can
- Scissors
- 3-4 sponges
- Assorted paint

- A paint brush
- 2 sheets of card stock
- Coloring supplies
- Container for paint

Instructions:

1. Wash and dry the can.

2. Paint the outside of the can and let it dry.

3. Cut shapes from a sponge to make a pattern on the can.

4. Select a paint color for each sponge shape and apply a pattern to the can. Get creative!

5. While the can is drying, print out the flowers to color.

6. Color the flowers.

7. Cut out the flowers.

8. Make sure your can is dry, and then cut three sponges to fit inside the can to hold your flowers. (See photo below).

9. Stagger the flowers to create a dynamic arrangement and enjoy!
